cups-ppdc software package provides Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - PPD manipulation utilities, you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cups-ppdc
cups-ppdc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cups-ppdc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cups-ppdc *
You will get with cups-ppdc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
